We engage staff through executive level leadership, selecting those in the top 20% of their skill set. We only present candidates who are at least a 90% match for your organization.
Most really dislike it.
Here’s why: As a candidate, you’ve likely been recruited before. A recruiter calls, pretends to know all about you from another person who supposedly spoke “highly” of you. They then present a job description that mirrors your LinkedIn profile and tell you, “you’d be a great fit”. You may roll your eyes, you may want to say, “you don’t know if I’m interested and you’re pitching me a job.” But you don’t. You are a polite professional and now you’d like to hang up and wash your hands. We get it. Totally.
As a client, it’s the same story. You’re often pitched the most “incredible candidate” without one question about your needs and little to no research done on your firm. “He’d be a great fit.” You roll your eyes. You do need people, but not like this. “I can’t use someone like that, but I could use a …” Then comes the flood of resumes from Monster, CareerBuilder, Dice, and Zip Recruiter- the same resumes HR has already seen and passed on. We understand.

The Process

We guarantee you haven’t experienced the depth of our inquiries into position scope, departmental objectives, and corporate culture. Matching technical skills is the easiest part of the search; the hardest part is aligning a candidate’s soft skills to the flavors in your hallway, aligning an environment that frees a candidate’s creativity. This is our strength.
No Job Boards, Tweets, or LinkedIn postings. Period.

Engage us after that frustrates you.
We work the old-school way. We are not interested in those actively seeking jobs. Our job is to find out who are buried in excellence and have their heads down in noticeable performance. Mountain Medical candidates are selected based on professional vetting by their peers, not by their aggressive self-promotion or availability. Be warned: when we present one, you may need to deviate from protocol and clear your calendar.
No pitching jobs. No baiting candidates.

We won’t expose you to surprise-filled, tire kicking candidates. Typical headhunters pitch jobs before understanding a candidate’s status or interest. We find this approach ineffective and unprofessional.
Before ever discussing a specific opportunity, we ensure candidates have shared their genuine views on what an ideal situation is for them. We don’t sell jobs, we are skillful matchmakers. That comes from listening to the truth before anything else. Opportunists never make it past us. If we can’t identify a legitimate career motivator that will inspire a top 20% candidate to move, they are not eligible for Mountain Medical.

Important candidates require preparation. They are as bright as you, can recognize a “wing it” interview, and may misjudge your company’s management culture if the interviewer is not well-prepared.
We provide a comprehensive candidate assessment that surpasses the typical resume and biased reference checks you may be used to. Our process includes preparing you for an interview that offers an in-depth understanding of the candidate, a process we call InnerView™. We’ll walk you through the entire process to ensure you are fully confident and free from surprises.
Honest, No-Bluff Debriefing.

No games. No playing both sides. We work for you, not the candidate. If the candidate has any shortcomings, you’ll know about them.
When we conduct reference checks, you’ll get both barrels, in quotes or a recorded conversation (where permitted). You decide.
Negotiating Closure.
​
There is no negotiating. When all parties do their job correctly and when all sides have been pre-closed with hypothetical offers and hypothetical acceptances, transitions are smooth. If we believe an offer won’t be accepted, it will not be extended. Simple as that. At Mountain Medical, no one wears egg. Period.
To do our job well, you must give us your trust.
